I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix . _( Q$ K% N/ ^* i! B Z& j/ t0 w* z$ P* U: }* f* G7 o/ _. d" l( ]
